Fund Recs Launches Agentic Platform and AI Ops, Bringing AI Agents Into Fund Oversight Controls

New agent portfolio spans data workflows, document intelligence, control building and break resolution, with client data never leaving the Fund Recs environment.

  • Fund Recs today launches its Agentic Platform, a family of specialised AI agents built into the Fund Recs oversight layer, with support, template builder and document extraction agents already live in client production environments
  • New agents extend the platform into exception resolution and conversational control building, allowing operations teams to triage breaks by root cause and create new reconciliations and data workflows in natural language
  • Alongside the platform, Fund Recs introduces Fund Recs AI Ops, an AI-enabled managed service for fund operations teams
  • Every agent operates under a Responsible AI framework: no client data leaves the Fund Recs environment, and no client data is used to train large language models

Dublin, Ireland – September 10th, 2026 – Fund Recs, the oversight layer for the fund industry, today announced the launch of its Agentic Platform and a new AI-enabled managed service, Fund Recs AI Ops. Together they extend the company's no-code data workflow and reconciliation platform into agentic operations, while keeping the governance model that regulated firms depend on: AI prepares the work and humans oversee it.

The Agentic Platform is built as a family of specialised agents rather than a single general-purpose assistant. Each agent does one job well; answering a user's question, extracting data from a document, resolving a break, creating a new control, clustering exceptions and each plugs into a shared foundation layer built on the open Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. That foundation gives every agent a single governed interface to the Fund Recs platform: authenticated, fully audited, and inheriting the permissions of the user it is acting for.

"Automating a process and being trusted to oversee it are two different problems and this industry has spent far more time on the first," said Alan Meaney, CEO and co-founder of Fund Recs. "Firms are being asked to supervise more data, more asset classes and more counterparties, on shorter cycles, with the same teams. Agents can absorb an enormous amount of that preparation work. But an agent that cannot show you its source, cannot be audited and cannot be overruled has no place anywhere near a control that a regulator or a board relies on. That is the line we have built to."

Live today
Three agents are already in production with Fund Recs clients:

Rex, the Support Agent — in-app support and guidance, trained on Fund Recs documentation, FAQs, demos and webinars, with one-click escalation to a human at any point in a conversation. Rex was involved in 95% of all conversations in Q2 and independently resolved 42% of total volume - up 9 points on Q1.

The Document Extraction Agent — pulls structured data from PCAPs, NAV packs and loan documents, returning the source context behind every extracted value. One client processed over 15,000 documents in August, saving 1,200 hours.

The Template Agent — turns a natural-language description of a data transformation requirement into a deterministic template and rule set. The AI drafts; once approved, the rule runs deterministically every time, so the same inputs always produce the same result. Fund Recs saw a 75% reduction in the time to create templates in August.

Extending into resolution and control creation
The next wave of agents moves the platform further up the operational chain.

The Resolution Agent intelligently analyses exceptions across reconciliation and oversight workflows, groups related issues by likely root cause, prioritises them according to impact, and generates recommended resolution actions. Clients remain fully in control, with the ability to review, approve, modify, or escalate each recommendation.

The Controls Agent conversationally guides users through building new data workflows and reconciliation types end to end, supercharging the specialist configuration effort that has historically made new controls slow and expensive to stand up.

Fund Recs AI Ops
Fund Recs AI Ops brings the same agent portfolio to firms that want the outcome without building the operating model themselves. The service combines the Fund Recs platform with a team of fund operations practitioners running oversight controls on the client's behalf - reconciliations, document processing, exception investigation and reporting with agents doing the preparation and Fund Recs team of operations experts holding the review and sign-off.

"Managed services in this industry have traditionally meant more people doing the same work somewhere cheaper," said Brian Lehane, Head of Fund Recs AI Ops. "AI Operations is a different proposition. The agents compress the preparation, our people apply the judgement and the client keeps full visibility of both. Clients get capacity without giving up control of their controls."

Responsible AI by design
Every agent and every AI Ops engagement runs under the Fund Recs Responsible AI framework which includes an agentic oversight layer. Client data does not leave the Fund Recs environment and no client data is used to train large language models. Agent actions inherit the permissions of the user who initiated them and are recorded in a full audit trail. The Fund Recs Enterprise platform encrypts data at rest and in transit, offers SSO, MFA and BYOK capabilities. Additionally, Fund Recs is SOC 2 Type II compliant and also ISO 27001 certified.

Where an agent produces an output that feeds a control, the output can be presented for human approval rather than applied automatically. Rules drafted by AI execute deterministically under human supervision.

"Built by fund operations people, powered by responsible AI, trusted with the controls that regulators, boards and operations teams depend on. The last part is the hard one, and you don't get to it without the first two," said Alan Meaney, CEO and co-founder of Fund Recs. "By standing up our AI Operations team to leverage our new Agentic Platform, we are dogfooding our own software. This creates a feedback loop with our team using the Agentic Platform, proving out the efficiency gains and importantly, sharing first hand feedback with our AI Engineers. Our software clients benefit directly from this loop with new battle tested Agentic capabilities." Meaney added.

The Agentic Platform is available to Fund Recs clients from today. Fund Recs AI Operations is available now for initial partner clients. For those interested in the service, expressions of interest can be registered here.
