We were blessed by the weather Gods for Fund Recs Golf Day last Friday. Thanks to the team at Grange Golf Club who had the course in fabulous condition and looked after all our golfers so well.
A big thanks to Michael Moore of Kearys Renault Belgard who provided the all new Renault Megane E-Tech as a prize for a hole in one on the 6th hole.
Thanks to all the golfers on the day, we had 56, who embraced the team based format and helped make it such a fun experience for everyone.
Finally, I'd like to thank the team at Fund Recs for pulling off such a fantastic event. Well done Dan, Aoife, Michelle, Brian, Ger, Simon and Eoghan.
Our popular introduction to golf session was back with 16 golfers joining the 2 hour session with two Golf Pros. Our golfers covered putting, chipping and long range shots before going ahead and playing 5 full practice holes. Several caught the golf bug and are planning to progress to the full 18 holes next year.
We had a lot of fun with our hole in one challenge on the long Par 3 6th hole. With a pin position to the front and a tricky swirling breeze nobody managed to get the hole in one and snag the car this year. You can check out everyone's swing at the hole below (thanks for the video Michelle):
We saw some super golf played on the day and everyone seemed to enjoy the scramble format giving our golfers a sense of teamwork heading into Ryder Cup week. Check out the prize winners below:
